Green Barley has been a staple food of human populations since at least 7,000 B.C. and in Japan the young grass is one of several traditional green foods that are considered to be energising and anti-ageing. It is a good natural alkaliser, and may also aid digestion and detoxification. Green Barley contains over 70 nutrients, including vitamins, minerals, amino acids and enzymes – in particular Super Oxide Dismutase (S.O.D.) – a powerful free radical scavenger. In addition, Green Barley grass provides high levels of Chlorophyll and important antioxidant substances called flavonoids. Of particular interest to researchers is the flavonoid 2’’ -0- GIV – shown in research to be a more potent antioxidant than vitamin E. Many of the nutrients in Green Barley are destroyed by heat or acidity, so in order to capture and protect the delicate nutrients and enzymes in freshly harvested young barley grass, Green Magma is manufactured using a unique extraction and spray-dry process. Mix 1 teaspoon of Green Magma powder into a glass or the shaker containing approx. 160ml of water or non-acidic fruit juice. Mix or shake well. Drink 20 minutes before or 2 hours after a meal for best absorption. Do not mix with hot drinks as heat can damage the active enzymes in Green Magma.
Please note: Barley Grass is high in Vitamin K. Those taking Warfarin, or other anti-coagulants, please consult your GP or specialist before undertaking regular use.
Juice from organically grown young barley grass leaves, organic maltodextrin (a complex carbohydrate), organic brown rice. All ingredients are non GMO.
Coeliacs should use with caution - although Barley leaves are gluten free, it is advisable to do a 'patch test' before using if a coeliac. Please contact us for a free sample and instructions on how to do this.

Loved this product. I have tried many green powder supplements and this is my favourite for taste when mixed with apple juice and certainly makes you feel more energised. Will be ordering more soon.

Useful little measured packs especially if travelling. Shaker works well but unclear if it classes as a bottle for recycling. Would be good to be able to buy replacement mini-packs without the shaker. Good product though!
